Westerwald recipes: fish fillet with boiled potatoes

Since Ash Wednesday, many people have adhered to the fasting rule, which is valid until Easter. Many abstain from alcohol and meat. That is why we are presenting you with a fish dish today.

Region. Fish dishes are healthy and low in calories. Zander is also very tasty. The local freshwater fish is considered a special delicacy with its delicate, lean and white meat, fine taste and delicate bite. Zander fillets are small in size and can be perfectly roasted or steamed. Get fresh fish fillets from your trusted fishmonger. Potato dishes go well with fish and are the easiest to make.

Ingredients for two people:
2 fish fillets
2 eggs
30 grams of butter
herb salt
1/2 lemon

500 grams of potatoes (medium, waxy)

Wash potatoes, peel and cut into pieces. Put in plenty of salted water and boil until desired. Take a chopstick test for this.

Prepare breadcrumbs with egg and breadcrumbs. The paneling is especially crispy with a coarsely chopped bank.

Heat in a large pan with butter. Wash and dry the sieve fillets. Then pull through the egg, the breadcrumbs, through the egg again and the breadcrumbs again. Place in a pan if the butter is light brown. Turn the heat down and cook the fish on both sides for about ten minutes. Then season the fish fillets with herb salt and cover with lemon slices.

Drain the potatoes, sprinkle with chopped parsley or an ax and serve.

Lettuce, such as lamb salad with yoghurt sauce, is best for fish dishes. (htv)
